Hello again Storm Chasers….
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I do bare good news. I, as I posted late last year, continued to focus on the series and completed book 2, as well as started book 3. I am excited about this. I am pushing to get the editing stage moving, and once complete I plan to re-release book 1 with book 2. Once available, I’ll update again.

Through the writers blocks, daily activities and family, I have been trying to get Rage finished up. Still no luck on publishers. I have about decided to self publish, but still hoping for a breakthrough.
In other news… well, on the non-storm front, I have also gotten a few new concepts working. So, for those who like a darker story, more to come…

Hello again Storm Chasers…
I’ve ran into the worst snag ever. As of 4/11, my faithful publisher went out of business. Due to how he handled things, I’ve had to pull my series from Amazon entirely. Fear not, I will be out again. I am focusing on finishing book 2, and maybe get book 3 started earlier than planned. I know that things are moving slower than even I’m happy with. Don’t give up on me or you’ll miss the phoenix…

Hello again from the desk at Storm Central… (lol)… I know, can’t blame a guy for trying. Just wanted to let EVERYONE know that the wonderful ladies of The Reading Cafe (thereadingcafe.com) posted a book review for Storm’s Wake this morning… with the much anticipated author interview to follow (tomorrow). Yes, March 22nd book review… March 23rd author interview.
I am VERY excited and honored that Sandy@thereadingcafe.com is the first to review Storm’s Wake as an outside source in a professional manner. I must also thank Mr. Francis J. Cura (the cover model) for introducing me to her. Without his intervention, the review/interview would never had happened.
Along with this, I am proud to announce that we are in the works with a second review and interview. (more to come on this…)
I don’t know if i mentioned this before, but sadly DragonCon turned us down this year. For those that do not know, DragonCon is a Scifi Convention hosted in Atlanta, GA every year where Authors, Actors and other SciFi enthusiasts meet and can be met by fans. This is actually a good thing in the overall scheme of things. It gives me time to focus on Storm’s Rage (yes… this is book 2).
Okay, so in closing a few words of wisdom. Never give up on your dreams… While you may sit and try to think on your life and how you might achieve your goals in life, you put your dreams on the back burner. Did I ever think I’d be a writer??? No. I didn’t cross that bridge until my mother passed away (6-29-08)… Even then I never thought that I would be writing. So, looking back over this, you may be thinking ‘what does this have to do with dreams’? Well, your mind has funny ways of giving you moments of inspiration. I had a ‘dream’, it got mixed with a heavy dose of imagination and emotion. Next thing you know, I have 75,000+ words and the making of a book series.
So, respect your dreams. Don’t be afraid to reach out and grab for that moment of happiness. You might be pleasantly surprised.

24 hours can do wonders for people. For me, I started with a blog and watched the unfolding of my first book review. (Thank you Sandy S.) You can find it at GoodReads.com, but I warn you. Its a HUGE spoiler. 
Also, coming in March (22/23) my interview with The Reading Cafe (www.thereadingcafe.com) will go live. I’m looking forward to this. As for new events, my first book signing has not been scheduled as of yet. Still waiting on friends, family and associates (and you know who you are) to get their copies. I do share the pain of remembering “tax season” all too well. Again, you know who you are…

While I know I have not been the avid poster of late, I have not forgotten you. Yes, I am talking like I have a million fans waiting for every post I have.
Sadly, the great DragonCon convention, who does Scifi related conventions in Atlanta, Georgia, turned down a signed guest appearance for J.L Barnett this year. But that is okay, I needed to work on more pressing issues right now.
Deep in to my second book (coined Storm’s Rage) I have been pushing poor Jake through hell. lol. Okay, maybe not quite that extreme, but who knows right.
I have had the honor of meeting (thru email and twitter) a couple of authors. Mr. Darrell Smith Sr., author of After the Cancer, What Now?, and Mrs. Andrea Parnell, author of Dark Seduction, Dark Prelude, and other romance works.
So, in closing, I must say the year has started off well. Be well, any and all fans who are out there. (mtc)
